Punjab PMT - Punjab Pre Medical Test acronym as Punjab PMT or PMET is conducted by Baba Farid Univeristy of Health Science for providing admission to aspiring candidates to various bachelor medical courses such asM.B.B.S., B.D.S., B.A.M.S. and B.H.M.S. in the entire Medical, Dental, Ayurvedic, Homoeopathic Institutes across Punjab.
There are about 9 Medical Colleges having 720 MBBS seats (200 more expected) where 14 Dental College have 1000 seats (200 more expected) to be grasped through PMET. In all these colleges 85% seats are reserved for Punjab candidates and 15% seats for Outside Punjab candidates.
Educational Qualification:
Candidate wishing to appear in this Punjab Pre Medical Test should have passed (with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in case of general Category and 40% in respect of candidate belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes) the Senior Secondary examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination, which is equivalent to 10+2 after a period of 12 years study, the last 2 years of study must comprise of Physics, Chemistry, Biology with English as compulsory subject.
Note: The candidates that are in the first year of their Bachelor level degree of graduation can also apply for PMET provided that they are under the specific age limit concerned with this test.
Even candidates that have passed their Bachelor Level degree from any recognized Indian University can apply for this exam, provided he or she is a resident of the state and that they also fall under the specific age limit. However these respective candidates have to attain a study all the compulsory Subjects such as Chemistry, Physics, Zoology or Botany.

Aspiring candidates must have attained the age of 17 years on 31st December of the year of application.

Punjab PMT Exam Syllabus
The Punjab PMT contains general syllabus of relevant subjects i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology from classes 11th and 12th under the 10+2 scheme/pre-medical/intermediate science or an equivalent examination of the Punjab State Education Board / Indian University.
The Punjab PMT paper will be of 150 minutes duration consisting of 200 multiple choice questions from the following subjects:

Important: For every correct answer, a candidate will get 4 marks and for every incorrect answer 1 mark will be deducted.
