ABOUT IBPS RRB CLERICAL EXAM- ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

I. Nationality / Citizenship:

A candidate must be either – (i) A Citizen of India or (ii) A subject of Nepal or (iii) A subject of Bhutan or (iv) A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.

2. Age (As on Date of Notification): Minimum: 18 years,  Maximum: 28 years

Relaxation of Upper age limit: Category Age relaxation

a. Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe 5 years

b. Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) 3 years

c. Persons with Disabilities 10 years

d. Ex-Servicemen, Commissioned Officers including Emergency Commissioned Officers (ECOs)/ Short Service Commissioned Officers (SSCOs) who have rendered at least 5 years military service and have been released on completion of assignment.

3. Educational Qualifications: A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS OF IBPS RRB CLERK EXAM

WRITTEN EXAM (CWE- IBPS RRB CLERK EXAM) 

Personal Interview (By Individual Regional Rural Banks of Respective States according to the seats available)

Any eligible candidate, who aspires to join any of the Participating Organisations listed above as a Probationary Officer/Management Trainee or in a similar post in that cadre, is required to register for the Common Recruitment Process (CWE-RRB Clerk). Candidates who appear and are shortlisted in the examination, will subsequently be issued a score card valid for one year period. Interview is taken by the respective bank (RRBs) itself according to the seats available.

The structure of the Examination which will be conducted online is as follows:

Time: Composite time of 2 hours

The above tests except the Test of English Language will be available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi.

PENALTY FOR WRONG ANSWERS

There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate; there will be no penalty for that question.

CUTOFF SCORE

Each candidate will have to secure a minimum score in each test and also on total. Mere passing in individual tests may not be sufficient as candidates should also score sufficiently high on Total in order of merit to be called for interviews to be conducted by RRBs.

The cut-off points to qualify in each of the tests will be decided based on the average (Average – ¼ Standard Deviation for General category candidates and Average – ¾ Standard Deviation for Reserved Category candidates)

CWE SCORE

The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using equipercentile method.

VALIDITY OF CWE SCORES

Score issued by IBPS will be valid for one year from the date of display of the Score on IBPS’s website and will be considered for recruitment exercises by the RRBs during that period.

INTERVIEW:
