1. Eligibility for Army Institute of Education (AIE)

Educational Qualification

Graduate (except Commerce) with minimum 45% aggregate marks. 

Age Limits 

Below 35 years as on 01 Aug 2016.  

2. Eligibility for Army College of Dental Sciences(ACDS):

Educational Qualification

  • For BDS: +2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with 50% marks in agreegate.
  • For MDS: BDS and must have a permanent registration with the state dental council. 

Age Limits

There is no age limit. 

3.Eligibility for Army College of Nursing (ACN):

For B.Sc Nursing:

Educational Qualification

10 + 2 with Physics, Chemistry Biology and English with minimum 45% aggregate marks for ACN only.

Age Limits

Between 17-25 years.

4.Eligibility for Army Institute of Nursing (AIN), Guwahati:

For B.Sc Nursing:

Educational Qualification

10 + 2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum 50% aggregate marks

Age Limits

Between 17-25 yrs.

5.Eligibility for Army  Institute  of  Hotel  Management  and  Catering Technology  (AIHM  &  CT):

Eligibility Condition

For B.Tech program in Mechanical, Electronics & Tele Communication, Computer Engineering and Information Technology: 10 + 2 with Physics, Chemistry & Maths with min 50% aggregate.

For B.Sc Program:

8. Army College of Medical Sciences (ACMS):

Educational Qualification

10 + 2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. Candidates must have passed these subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.  Candidates appearing in qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.

Other Eligibility Conditions

The applicants must fall into one of the following categories;

  • Wards of serving Army personnel with minimum 10 years continuous service in the Army;
  • Wards of ex-Army personnel granted/awarded regular pension, liberalized family pension, family pension or disability pension at the time of their superannuation, demise, discharge, release medical board/invalided medical board. This includes wards of recruits medically boarded out and granted disability pension;
  • Wards of ex-army personnel who have taken discharge/release after ten years of service;
  • Adopted/step children and children of remarried widows, 
    (a) adopted child of Army personnel who completed 10 years service, adopted at least five years prior to seeking admission
  • (b) step children are eligible provided they are born out of a wedding where at least one parent belonged to the Army and completed 10 years service
  • (c) Children of widows of Army personnel who are born as a result of second marriage with army personnel. However, children of widows of Army personnel born out of remarriage with non-Army personnel would not be eligible for admission

Eligibility Criteria in Special Cases: Eligibility criteria for wards of Ex-Army Medical corps officers/Army Dental corps officers presently serving with Indian army/Indian Air Force; wards of only those ex-Army Medical Corps/Army Dental Corps Officers presently serving with Indian Navy or Indian Air Force who have served with the Army for 10 years

 

Eligibility Criteria for Children of APS Personnel:

1.  Children of APS personnel classified as ex-servicemen as per Govt of India, Ministry of Defence letter no. 9(52)/88/D(Res) dtd 19 July, 1989;

2.    Children of those APS personnel who are on deputation and who have put in 10 years of service in the army;

3.   Children of APS personnel, who are directly recruited into APS who have competed 10 years of service and of those who as per their terms and conditions of service, retired from APS without reversion to P&T department after completing their minimum pensionable service of which 10 years was in the Army

 

Eligibility Criteria for Children of MNS/TA Personnel:

1.     Children of only those members of MNS who have 10 years service as regular Army MNS officer or are in receipt of pension from the Army;

2.     Children of only those TA personnel who have completed 10 years of embodied service.

 

AWES WAT Exam Syllabus

AWES WAT Exam consists of questions from the relevant subjects of qualifying class along with reasoning, General Knowledge and Mental Aptitude in some of them.

 

AWES WAT Pattern

WAT paper pattern as given below .

Pattern for Master of Dental Surgery-PG WAT

The test paper will consist of 150 objective type (multiple choices) questions. The standard of the test shall be that of the BDS course.  Minimum marks required to qualify in Written Admission Test shall be 75.

Pattern for Bachelor of Dental Surgery

The question papers consist of 110 objective type (multiple choices) questions in the following format:-

  • Biology (Botany & Zoology) (37 questions).
  • Physics & Chemistry (combined 73 questions).

Pattern for Bachelor of Education

Question paper will consist of 150 objective type test items to be responded to by the candidates in the allocated duration of 3 hrs. The medium of the test shall be English only. No negative marking will be done. The test will have the following components:-

  • Intelligence and Reasoning Test.
  • General Awareness Test.
  • English Language Competency & Comprehension Test.
  • Education / Aptitude for Teaching Test.

Pattern for Fashion Designing courses

Paper will consist of 100 Marks objective type test items to be responded to by the candidates in the allocated duration of three hours. The medium of the test shall be English only.  No negative marking will be done. The test will have the following components:-

  • Intelligence and Reasoning Test.
  • General Awareness Test.
  • English Language Competency & Comprehension Test.

Pattern for Bachelor of Science in Nursing

The paper will be of 2 hours duration containing 3 subjects. The test paper will consists of 110 multiple choice questions in the following format.

  • Part I:Physics and Chemistry (73 questions)
  • Part II: Biology (Zoology & Botany) (37 Questions)

To obtain prospectus and application form, send bank draft in favour of concerned institution directly, payable at station where institution is located.

Prospectus also available at HQ AWES and HQs Command (AWES Cell) through demand draft only in favour of institute concerned Submitting of application will be by hand or by registered post to concerned institute/college

Final year candidates may appear provisionally.
