About All India Pre Medical Entrance Test (AIPMT)

Ø AIPMT is conceptualized as a Common Medical Entrance Test for all Medical Colleges across India replacing several other State/National Level Pre-Medical Examinations.

Ø  Medical Council of India (MCI) is the governing body of Medical Colleges in India.

Ø  Total No. of Medical Colleges in India : 353.

Ø  Total No. of Seats in Medical Colleges in India : 43515.

Ø  Admission Criteria : Students securing more than 50%ile in NEET are eligible for counseling; 15% allotment of seats is done under national quota and remaining 85% is done under state quota.

Ø  Reservation of Seats : 27% (OBC - NCL), 15% (SC), 7.5% (ST) & 3% (PwD in each Category)

Ø  All India Institute of Medical Colleges (AIIMS), Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), JIPMER and few other colleges of National repute conduct their own examination.

Ø  Each class is of 45 minutes duration.

Ø  DLP (daily learning practice sheet) class is of 45 minutes duration.

Ø  Total number of class hrs. (Regular classes) : 325 hrs

Ø  Total number of test hrs. : 125 hrs

Ø  Scheduling of classes : 6 Days per week + One 3 hrs Test

Ø  No. of classes per day : 2

Fee Structure :

Ø Registration Fee (at the time of admission) : Rs. 10000/- (Including in course fee)

Ø Prospectus + Student Bag + Pen (Charges) : Rs. 150/- (Excluding From Course Fee), chargeable at the time of counseling.

IMPORTANT POINTS :

Ø Present rate of Service Tax is 12.36%, Any increase in rate of Service Tax during the course period, will be borne by the students. Total Amount payable is Exclusive of Service Tax.

Ø If a student fails to deposit 2nd Installment on or before the Last Date mentioned above, late fee @ Rs. 50/- per day will be charged (in addition to Fee) upto 30 days. After this the admission shall be treated cancelled without any prior information & refund of fee.
